Jim, IMHO what it boils down to is:
You are buying the lens. You will be usingthe lens. You will decide if it is the lens you want to keep and use.
I won't be making that decision nor will the others that have replied.
I couldn't agree more. We can only say why we've chosen the lenses we've chosen. Usually it's a tradeoff between: sharpness, maximum aperture, size, weight, range, features, and price. Choose any three. :-)
