Dr. Wood, Floats were never certified for the Ercoupe. I talked with the float manufacturer  (EDO I believe) at Oshkosh and he was there the day the FCC tested them. It was quite a story. During the test flight it scared the poor FAA inspector to death and he nixed it right on the spot.. Sure makes a pretty photo though. I have done pen and ink drawings of Coupes on floats sitting at a dock but  strictly from my imagination. Here is one.
