The lack of terrain info is one thing that I am concerned with regarding the GPSMAP 295. My King Skymap IIIC has this feature and I use it regularly. Out here in Washington State we do have those things that stick out of the ground. When flying over the mountains--which we must do, if we want to get to the eastern part of the state--I find it difficult to judge just how much clearance I will have say 10 miles in front of me. The terrain feature of the King makes it easy to thread ones way through the mountains avoiding those nasty peaks. <G> I will be eager to compare the Garmin with the King when it gets here. Please don't anyone tell me anything bad about the Garmin since I have one coming. <G> Cheers: Paul NC2273H ========================================================================== ==== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers/
