Hi Coupers, for
those of you who are interested, and use a Pilot III. It is possible to
enter the destination in the waypoint section, however the Pilot III will always
default to the to the last "go to nrst" entry for the destination. It is
possible to trick it into showing the heading for a different destination in the
waypoints screen however this is what I was doing, because I thought this was
the memory for all my destinations. I have not found a screen which will retain
the destinations indefinately, however it is really important that when you
select a new destination that you do it through the go to nrst button , and then
select the "spell last name" tab and once you have your destination spelled out,
press enter. This is the default screen, it is possible to change destinations
on other screens, and that is what I was doing. It also is a big help to
download the manual from Garmin and print the PDF format, that way the pictures
the text refers to is actually on the same page. If anyone knows how to
store the destinations in the unit without making them waypoints, I would sure
be interested. Hope this helps someone out there,
