Bo . What type prop is it ? If it is a Sensenich, your static RPM is right to spec. If it is a McCauley, you are just 50 rpm under the minimum. Besides ignition timing , a lean mixture can have a similar effect on max power. ( Carb setting, leaks in induction system, low float level in carb etc.) also if your cam is old & and the lobes down a little, you might have some reduce in power. The timing for a C-90 is per M47-16 supp. No. 1 : Right magneto -26º B.T.D.C on compression stroke Left magneto -28º B.T.D.C on compression stroke Hartmut [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > ----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- > > Does anyone know the correct mag timing for the 90HP engine. Also would the fact that the tail is low by about 6" have any effect on static RPM. I can['t get m9ore then 2200 with a 7150 pithed prop. The mechanic can't find any thing else wrong. > Bob Bullock > N5621F > Maryland > ========================================================================== ==== > To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm > Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers/ ========================================================================== ==== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers/
