Hello to All, Iwas one of those that flew to Daytona
behind Syd and Brad They came to 06C in Ill and i
followed them to Fla.Well I tell ya I haven't flown
so long in the wettest dampest foggiest haziest over
castiest low ceilings weather in ages we flew south
-diverted east-flew east diverted west flew west
diverted south we stayed over at a lot of airports
FBO's and occassionally a motel-- one motel actually
had 6' ceilings ya know come to think of it so did
Kentucky --6' ceilings .Syd wove us thru , with the
great help of flight service some neato places we
stopped in places that I can't even spell, but ya know
what , we really found some great food in the south
and the waitress was from New York City with a fake
Southern accent so she'd get bigger tips so she said.
well all and all I had a great trip- D.G
quit,Atificial Horizon tumbled,Generator Quit, muffler
clamp broke, got shot at by a broken cowl Dzus
fastener in flight- a baffle broke loose Lost a header
tank sight gauge cap in flight ate a seat cushion
going over the OKKEEFANOKKE SWAMP wouldn't trade it
fer nuttin.By the way Syd averaged 4.25 gallons per
hour--I averaged 6.25 I told him he just has smaller
tanks. Oh Ya DONT FERGET to ask SYD about the chipper.
