I have been offered a Northstar M1 Loran/gps unit for a very low price. Basically new. Does anyone have any experience with this unit. I know that it is a Loran C device but he insists that it also uses GPS. I have looked on the internet for information on it and only find that it has progressed from the M1 to the M2 then to the M3 and finally the GPS-60 still sold today. I currently use a Garmin GPS pilot III. Is it worth fooling with?
