Darick,
Also, thanks for your post, but do not dismay, you aren't the first and
you won't be the last to get caught up in the oral. You're actually
very lucky. You learn a lot from a tough oral and check ride. When you
pass with a hard axx examiner, you know that you know the material and
will be a good pilot. Ask him about things you're weak on, he'll
explain or demonstrate what ever it is, unless he's not hard, just an
axx. Remember, he's got a lot of instructing under his belt and he
really wants you to pass, but you have to be knowledgeable and safe.
Your first license is only a license to continue to learn to fly.
Re-read the flight manual several times, cover to cover. You'll be
grilled on that during your flight check. Don't forget to make sure
the aircraft has all the required papers, has a current annual/100hr
inspection, and know how to run the weight and balance.
Good luck, we're all with you.
