I'm a complete novice when it comes to mechanical things so I don't know if
this is even relevant to all of the trim tab discussion, but I have a D
model 85 hp Ercoupe and it has a control panel vernier control for the trim
tab. Had to repair the cable that had a kink in it.

For me, (still getting used to it) the crank on the dash job seems like it
should have some sort of pointer somewhere to tell you where it is cranked
in to. I also wonder as I fly along, just what has 65 years of tension on
that spring done to it, reckon it needs a new one?
