With some unknown variables, it appears to me that the header tank was not full
enough to run, only 2 quarts may not be enough to fill the carb. Sitting
overnight may have let enough run slowly to fill the carb and run long enough
to pump some more in the header. I would add a gallon or two to the header
first of all. There is also a fuel strainer on the fuel cut off valve, it may
have dried out some crud on it. Is the gascolator full of fuel when it stops?
In the five minutes of running, did the header tank guage show fuel addition
from the pump?
