I have been preaching about this problem with Alon's for over 20 years! Never,
Never let the header tank go dry, and get an air bubble in the flex line
between the firewall mounted gascolator and the carburetor input fitting.
The Cure.
Fill up the header, bleed the line of air, sloshing chips and water by removing
the connector at the carburetor and holding the end below the output level of
the gascolator. Just bleed it into a coffee can or some container. you will
be amazed at your reward.
