I'll paste the entire output at the bottom, but here I will paste what looks to be relevant. I see this: ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:05:09.0[A] -> GSI 18 (level, low) -> IRQ 66 eth0: RealTek RTL-8029 found at 0x1000, IRQ 66, 00:50:BA:54:8A:69. hw_random: RNG not detected eth0 renamed to eth1 ... ... ... ec_master: module not supported by Novell, setting U taint flag. EtherCAT: Master driver devel unknown EtherCAT: 1 master waiting for devices. IA-32 Microcode Update Driver: v1.14 <[email protected]> ec_8139too: module not supported by Novell, setting U taint flag. ec_8139too EtherCAT-capable Fast Ethernet driver 0.9.27, master devel unknown IA-32 Microcode Update Driver v1.14 unregistered > One question: Why do you use such an old kernel? > I know running system with our stack starting at 2.6.13, but I do not > see a driver for 2.6.16, maybe there is a driver problem? I already had this version and since the docs mentioned 2.6 kernel, I went with it. However, I did run into numerous compiler issues - as a matter of fact I couldn't even compile the code. Someone else sent me RPMs for that. If you tell me, or better yet provide a link, to download a version of Linux that this (1.5) version of ethercat will just compile right away and work on, that would be great. Perhaps the exact version that you use?
