Booting from floppy?

Since I installed Linux, I can no longer boot off a floppy.  So to get LiLo
to let go of my system I ran "/sbin/lilo -u" which was supposed to
uninstall LiLo.  Now I still can't boot from a floppy, lilo still takes
over my system but can no longer successfully boot linux.

Any suggestions?
