If Canon would step up to the plate and offer at least a little help or provide some needed information to the linux printing projects then all could be better. As it is, HP and Epson actually provide some sort of driver for *most* of their printers. HP even has their 'toolbox' utility to tell you things about your printer and ink levels. My next printer is likely to be an Epson though as I want something affordable with seperate color tanks. Not exactly the biggest fan of refilling and I'm not dropping $30 everytime I use too much yellow.
