Well, unless you cool the starter motor it will likely burn out in the first 10 miles, and the battery will likely last only about 20 cycles - so unless you're only going to drive this thing once, it will still be cheaper to buy components that are at least somewhat intended to do what you're doing with them. A good deep-cycle battery can be had fairly cheaply in the 17-30AH range.
