If that were the case, Solectria would have sold thousands of Forces (which 
sold at slightly over that price for part of the production run).  IMHO, 
either the car has to be ~very~ nice at that price, or the price has to be 
lower.

Daewoo might be a good choice.  GM has bought a controlling share, but they 
are still in trouble for several reasons.  Should GM cause problems (not 
likely at this stage), there's still an option -- I'm pretty sure that GM 
elected to NOT purchase their assembly plant in Poland.  (I'd have to review 
my news archives to make sure of that, though, so don't quote me.)
