I can imagine someone taking a page from the radical environmentalists' notebook -- buckling himself into his EV1 and refusing to leave it. If nothing else he'd get lots of news coverage. I wonder how GM would feel about that.
Of course such a person would probably need an accomplice to help with food and sanitary matters. And there are obvious legal issues we've already discussed, which he would want to discuss with his attorney. Of course I'm not really suggesting this seriously. I'm just speculating on what a desperate EV1 lessee might resort to. I would never encourage anyone to violate civil law.
