Whoa - another EVer in Massachusetts? I musta missed that. Back when I bought my truck (already converted to electric), I made sure the insurance agent checked off the Electric Vehicle box on the application form, but of course when I brought it to the RMV they ignored what was on the form (why look at that little box since no one has electrics...) as it ended up listed as a regular gas S-10. But as someone else put it, I figured it was "Best to let sleeping bureaucrats lie." And yes, I have to have it inspected every year for "safety" (ha ha... lights turn on and are pointed generally forward, and the horn makes noise), which seems like a rip-off to pay full price and not even get to play on the dynamometer. _________ Jim Coate 1992 Chevy S-10 1970s Elec-Trak E20 http://www.eeevee.com
