I've driven 42778 miles in 3 years in the Tesla Roadster and the 'ideal' range 
is down from ~230 to ~222 miles. A lot of my charging is 'fast' (~16kW) to 100% 
capacity.

Personally I don't think it really matters whether the battery is air or liquid 
cooled... all that matters to the battery owner is the warranty.
