Regarding trucks, Steve and Audrey at "Green Shed conversions" have done
"Class 8" semi tractors they demonstrate the feasibility, IIRC, the latest
was for delivery service, in the city with 50 miles of range.  But, like
buses they can carry a large battery pack.
