Go on line to see how some strip the insulation off cable. Some is as simple
as a pipe that is about the inside diameter of the cable plus about 1/8 inch
more. Cut a slot on the side of the pipe to mount a utility knife blade that
is held by two bolts that is held to a angle iron welded to the outside of the
pipe.

Clamp the pipe device in a vice or a vice that has a pipe vice attachment. Tie
a cable puller grip to a rope and pull it with your horse. You can strip
hundreds of feet in no time.

We leave hundreds of feet of power cable on a work site. Other construction
people may take it for there own use, not for the value of the copper. To
prevent this from happing, we make up new power cord and wrap friction tape
over it, like it has been splice together in many places. We even tape in
bare strand wires sticking out.

Now we are not done yet. Take a horse or a machine that has horsepower and
drag it around until it looks like hell.

We never had anyone take one yet.

My brother does a lot of scrapping. He throws the cable in a big bonfire. Of
course, no one can breathe in the vicinity...
