A Watt is not a measure of energy.  A joule is not a Watt, it's a Watt-
second.

An entire crowd walking all day provides enough energy for maybe 15-20 
people's cars for one day.  And for only a few million dollars' worth of 
gear buried in the sidewalk.  Such a deal!
