I don't see why not. Maybe he just especially likes the MB. I would guess that he's not buying this car just for the trip and plans to keep it as his daily driver, so it should be something he's happy with. Around here, owning ANY kind of EV is unusual and draws notice. Here in NE Ohio, I may see a Leaf a few times a YEAR. I have yet to see a Tesla on the road or in a parking lot.
