I think you are being optimistic. Trump has a Republican Senate and House also. There isn't much to slow him down.
I do take hope in the fact that EV and solar cell technology have both developed enough that they may do ok without government incentives any more. I think it is slightly too early for that, but I think we are close. That would be the ultimate message to leaders: Even without incentives, the adoption rate still continues building.
