I really dislike the idea of high voltage BMS wires running all over the place. My plan, if I use LEAF cells, is to make a PCB that attaches directly to the battery terminals that has a microcontroller reading the cell voltages and sending the data via an optically isolated serial bus that is daisy chained from one cell to the next.
