So, which Chinese EV should I purchase?
My personal experience suggests *none* of them. I've seen and driven a few Chinese EVs that have been imported by various small entrepeneurs. The quality has been unbelievably poor.
I agree with Paul Compton that the Chinese *can* make high quality products, when the buyer demands it. The problem at the consumer level is that most of the companies importing things from China don't care about quality; they only care about price. You want cheap; you get cheap!
But at some point, I can well imagine that some large US corporation will start importing Chinese vehicles. They will demand higher quality, because they will have a lot to lose if they try to sell junk.
