What do "mv" and  "9vm" mean in this context?  And why is the latter 
"wonderful"?

Generally mv is millivolts, but I don't see how that can possibly apply 
here.

So your displayed or reported battery state of health (I assume that's what 
you mean) improved.  That's good, no?  

I've read about that happening with some EVs.  What it really means is that 
the BMS has recalculated the SOH after equalization or some other 
significant event.

Not unless mathematics has changed greatly since I was in school. 

A lot of extremely weird things are happening in US education these days, 
though, so I guess one never knows.
