They are trying to discourage people from going over 80% because that
usually means the BMS has started to taper the charge and it's going to
mean you are sitting there for a long time using very little energy.
Definitely not fair if the site is full and other people are waiting while
you charge from 80 to 90% at 20kW.

Against the advice of the Tesla nav, I usually break the trip into more
frequent stops and charge to a lower % at each stop, this means more
hassle, but a faster trip rather than sitting for a long time after the BMS
has started to taper.  This is also more friendly to others if the site is
busy.   The density of superchargers makes this relatively easy with some
pre-planning.
