I'd tend to think of an orphan like that as something like an antique collector's car. It'd be great for weekend fun, or tinkering with to see which gadgets and gimmicks you can get working. As a daily driver? Eh, maybe, if you have another reliable car to back it up; or if you buy and store one or two donor parts cars; or if you don't really need a car for your daily life. I wouldn't want it to be my sole vehicle, but that's me. Is the used EV market there that tight now? Maybe you could find a nice used Leaf or Bolt in the $20k range. > ... me and my two big dogs ... Oh. Well, I guess it depends on just how big your dogs are, and how tightly you're willing to pack them in. My other half used to transport full-grown sheep in her Ford Escort wagon, and later in a Honda Fit. IIRC she had as many as 3 sheep in the Escort.
