Are most of the brand new factory EV's still using a lead acid battery for
the aux battery? Not a little LFP or such? In the solar storage market we
have switched almost completely from lead acid to LFP in the past 3 years,
and I have to say, I do not miss lead acid the slightest bit after using it
for 30+ years. I know that my hybrid PriusC has had more issues with the
12 volt lead acid battery than any of the hybrid system on it (on its third
12 volt battery this year, which I guess really isn't that bad considering
its 14 years old now). I kind of assumed that the new EV's no longer were
using lead acid for the aux battery.
