Actually, now that I've read Russell's latest comment, I'd like to add
something to my 3rd question. It appears that the "Coulomb force" itself
propagates at lightspeed, which is how the tronnies manage to repel
themselves - they effectively outrun their own radiation, and "see" a ghost
tronnie on the opposite side of the circle, which is actually themselves
(there is a name for this manoeuvre from "Star Trek", but I can't remember
what it is).

So the CF itself moves at c. Is that force carried by particles, or if not,
what? And why is it limited to c when tronnies can move FTL?
