All this still assumed phsycialism without saying. There is a notion of immaterialist physicalism, but even that one is incompatible with Mechanism. Vic is going in the right direction (with respect to mechanism) but does not make the important move of seeing that arithmetic (aka computer science) might be the fundamental science, explains the appearance of a “solid matter”.
