Just got off the phone with Veritas Support (idiots have outsourced all their phone support to India, so that you can't hardly understand what they're saying) and I was told point-blank that in Veritas BEWS 9.0 and later, that you no longer need to install the Exchange Admin console, in order to do an Online backup of the Exchange 5.5 Information Store. All you need to do is push out the newest remote agent to the server.
