In six months time things should look very different. I expect a whole list of applications to come out - either new versions or updates to existing ones.
Your current Office licenses will cover you for Outlook. Obviously to get the best use of Exchange 2007 you need to be using Outlook 2007. If you have your Office on one of the license schemes with upgrades then you can just upgrade when you are ready. That sits out there for 30 days, then it is an easy 90 plus days to get the paperwork filled out with the Feds and then we get it. As a school we qualify for a massive reimbursement from the Feds on certain hardware and software. Email systems are one of them. We will get back 75 percent of the cost of this project.
