Yes, very effective for us. It is an appliance that requires very little effort and they are good with their updates and keeping up with new spammer tricks. It is pretty hands off which is good and bad. There are checks I would like it to do but they are not options...such dropping hosts with no rDNS.
One major issue I have with it is the way it's Bay's filter works. The Bay's filter is used after the message is accepted so in the case of an item that triggers your score on Bay's you only have a few options. Deliver it with a subject tag. Quaranteen it or discard the message. Tagging and Quaranteen are the only decent options. You can't discard it because then you are face with setting the Cuda to deliver an NDR to the 'from' address which in the case of spam is probably forged. You can't discard it because if it is a false positive no one knows it was an NDR. So the best bet is Tag or Quaranteen on the Bays. Only failure in the four years we have had ours was one fan, but it has multiple fans so one failing was no problem and it was an easy to get fan from CDW actually. We did it that way because it was easier and faster. Tech support is very good. The unit will phone home if you tell it to and set up a tunnel for their support people.
