Actually the 64KB limit sounds like the older PST file limit (Outlook 97-2002) with the Large Table support enabled. Without the Large Table support enabled the limit was 16K maximum items and maximum folders. Outlook 2003/2007 PST files don't have that low of a limit.

I do know the theoretical file size limit maximum of 33TB (yes terabytes) with a limit set for 20GB in the registry. I have a junk e-mail folder on my home Outlook install for my POP3 e-mail that is currently sitting at 100727 items. Yes yes I know too much, but it works fine. I guess I'll find the limit out for us eventually.
