That's good stuff on the registry, thanks. I will probably find occasion to use it.

The Cache Mode settings from what I can tell is purely at the individual
Outlook profile settings on each workstation. If a user turns on Cache
Mode in Outlook 2003 for his profile, then that information is saved to
the registry on that local workstation.

Here are some key areas to investigate in the registry on the
workstations.

HKEY_USERS\*\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\*\*

Properties: (Profile Name & 00036601)

If Proptery "00036601" value is like "10000 or 50000"
then cache mode is enabled for that Profile Name.

If Proptery "00036601" value is like "04000000" then
cache mode is disabled for that Profile Name.

I would love to also know if this info could be obtained from Exchange,
but I do not think its possible.

If your looking for a way to sweep all your workstations and servers for
specific Registry entries or OS level configurations/Permissions etc
then
Take a look at StealthAUDIT, www.stealthbits.com It can sweep hundreds
of thousands of workstations for any information you need with multiple
concurrent threads up to 650+.

Subject: Finding Cache Mode

Is there any way to tell from the server side which clients are on Cache

mode and which aren't?
