  Just to confirm, you have tried removing and recreating the MAPI profile
on the workstation?

  We had symptoms like what you describe at one of our customers.  It turned
out to be that the "Outlook Address Book" MAPI service still had a reference
to the old server.  By removing and then re-adding OAB, the problem went
away.
