I have a utility (how many messages do I start like this) that will automate DL creation based on a certain field in the Directory. For instance, you can create a DL of "All users on ServerA" or "All Mailboxes in the London Office" etc. All it needs is the data to be in the Directory (which is another story). Drop me a line if you want it. It's based on a MS utility called RBDL (but it actually works!)

I guess, I've never had that kind of problem.  ;o)

I suppose one way to automate that kind of thing would be with a CSV file.  I'm sure a little VB Script could do it as well.

I think the answer is you have to remember to add them.  If you've gots lots of DL, yes it's a PITA.

If I understand you correctly (and I'm not sure I do), you create a new
mailbox for said user, you enter all pertinent information regarding office
and such.  There is a DL tab in the mailbox properties of said user, click
on that and choose the DL you want to add them to.

lets say for example, we have a DL for remote offices.  When a new mailbox
is created and the user John Doe and the office field on the properties
page.  Is there a way to have his address added to the DL?

Could you explain further?  What do you mean by "update automagically"?

I just wanted to put a question out there.  I have been trying to figure out
if there is a way to have distribution lists update automatically from
information in the directory.  I am running Exch 5.5 sp4 on both NT4 and
Win2K.  Any assistance would be appreciated.
