RE: Exch 5.5 - SP4 update error

I  have tried one readers suggestion of using "UpdateExpert" to control the install..........I still get the same error, and the update exits before completion.

Any other ideas ?

I have been trying to apply SP4 to my Exch 5.5 server, it consistently stops about 3/4 of the way through exit code is x002002000

 

By making a log of what's happening with "ntfilemon" I can see that quite a few files "can't be found" e.g.. Kernel32.dll, ole32.dll, comdlg.dll etc.during the update, TechNet seems to indicate that using the log is the best way to determine what's wrong.......

 

All the missing files in the log is all that is obvious to me.

 

I d/l ALL the sp4 zip files from the Microsoft site.

 

Anyone else had this problem ?

 

What is the resolution ?
