The problem with an Edge Transport Rule is that it would have to be setup for every user. We are trying to have the individual users set this rule up on a case by case basis.
We have a machine out front of the building that guests can sign into, and an email will then automatically notify an employee that they have a visitor. Some people want that email to be forwarded to their pager, just in case they are not sitting at their desk when the visitor arrives. -----Original Message----- From: Rausch, Michael D [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, February 05, 2008 3:28 PM To: MS-Exchange Admin Issues Subject: RE: Outlook 2003 Rule (Exchange 2007) I am assuming by your subject that you are talking about an Outlook rule? Rules that forward email are Client side rules and require Outlook to be open in order to work. Does it work when you have Outlook open? I think Exchange 2007 Transport Rules might be a better solution for this. If I open my Inbox, and right click the message and say FORWARD, then select page-mylastname, my firstname from the Global Address List, it works just fine. Does anybody know of any reason I wouldn't be able to create a rule saying....forward email from Johnny to my pager?
