I think you can change this field once you add in a temporary x500 field with 
the legacy value.
You can then remove this x500 field eventually...

What do you guys do for name changes in AD in terms of exchange?

When a user wants their last name changed, I still find that the old name gets 
reffrenced by outlook via the legacyexchangedn causing the user much anger.
I don't want to touch the cn on the leagcyexchangedn for fear of stuff 
'sploding.

Is there any good process for this?
