Honestly, compared to FAT, fragmentation on NTFS was not nearly as big an issue, IMO.
Yes it fragmented.... but the cache-manager/VMM/filesystem and the ability to pre-read the block allocation and order them intelligently for an I/O operation reduced the effect significantly... -sc > -----Original Message----- > From: Michael B.
