Yup, until they ran into orgs with more than about 50k employees, IIRC. Didn't work so well, and there were resource domains and all sorts of workarounds. Bleh. Never worked in an org that large, though, so was only a spectator to the pain, not a participant, and for that I'm truly grateful.
