  That's pretty vague. How about including: 

  Version of Outlook
  Size of PST
  Did the user shut down Windows without verifying that Outlook was actually 
closed (it needs some time to write to the PST after you close it), by checking 
the Task Manager? 
  Does the user have a handheld which hadn't finished synching with Outlook? 

  Some details to help troubleshoot, please!
