BES does that. You need to make sure wireless synch is enabled for the
email account on the Blackberry.

One caveat though is that if you delete it from the mailbox, it can take
a bit to delete from the phone. But it will remove it.

Do any of these solutions work similar to ActiveSync, specifically in
regards that when you delete e-mails from either place, it gets removed
(hence the Sync) from the other?

I went from an ActiveSync device to a BB (running on BES) and I really
am bothered by the fact that I have to do "double the work".

TIA!

This isn't push though. The unit still polls for new data.

John,

The latest version of BIS supports this. My Bold 9700 is able to
send/receive email from one of my Exchange servers without being on BES.

A quick question.
Can a Blackberry device such as a BB Bold 9700 support push email
without having a BES server, maybe using the BB equivilant of
ActiveSync?
We have a few a Windows/Symbian based devices that have push email to
the phones. The Windows based ones use ActiveSync and SSL cert and the
Symbian ones use Mail For Exchange and a SSL cert

Thanks
John
