I just heard a rumor that Microsoft will releasing a R2 version of Exchange 2010. Supposedly it will contain some addition archiving functionality to offload older email to a separate server, not just another database. Note, I'm not referring to Personal Archiving, but a new feature. I also heard that it will require an Enterprise CAL.
Has anyone else heard anything about this? Fact or fiction?
