Hi Jessica,

I can tell you that my colleague's landlord increased his rent from $3000 to
$3800 in November with the argument that the recession would make less
people afford to buy and hence would rent instead so rental prices should
increase! My colleague hardly agreed and found another apartment, better
standard and the same size for $2600. The landlord never imagined that they
would actually move and quickly dropped his price back to $3000; too late.
The apartment is still on the market from what I know.
