Nina,

I think a notorised translation is needed. I used my UK licence and have had no
problems for about 7 years driving here.

Rgds,

Nick

you don't need a russian drivers license. An international license will do. I
am Canadian have been here five years on a work permit and have been using that
option without problem. You can as well take your us license and have it
translated which is equally acceptable.

Hi everyone:

Since I have a 12 month work visa, I understand I should get a Russian driver's
license (I'm registered for more than 6 months). Does anyone know where
foreigners can take the Russian driver's test and details about the process? I
understand that since I have a driver's license from the USA, I only need to
take the written exam (no need to actually demonstrate my ability to drive a
car). Is that correct?

Thanks,
John Dowdy
