Another great place is Malta. It is not expensive, it has great seafood, it
is really interesting, with great beaches and nice hotels. And, the people
speak English. We were there in early June and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have to second that motion re: Turkey. I was there a couple of months ago
and although my trip was limited to Istanbul, it seems there is TONS to see
and enjoy in Turkey overall: history, culture, beaches, food, etc. etc...it
is an absolutely beautiful country, and the people are among the nicest I
have ever met on my travels--I highly recommend it. I am still waiting for
the day to go back!!
